Our History
With more than 35 years of experience as an independent Civil Engineer and Project and Business Manager, Juan Carlos Zuniga founded a company in his name in 1989, which continues to operate in Colombia to this day. In 1999, he moved to the United States, where he established Projectz, Inc., which later evolved into Business and Bankers and is now SionCorp International, LLC. In 2006, the company was recognized as one of the fastest-growing Hispanic companies in South Florida.
Juan Carlos Zuniga is a Civil Engineer, graduated from Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. He has also studied at ILSC in Toronto, Canada, and MDCC in Miami, Florida. Recently, he completed a postgraduate course at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the South Florida Builders Association, the Latin American Society of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and the founder of the non-profit organization IHELPU.
Juan Carlos has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping staff and teams motivated, assisting, and informing all partners and allied companies. He is patient and persistent in achieving goals. Additionally, he is a speaker and author of articles for magazines and radio programs specializing in Finance. He has been an advisor to numerous companies, established through connections with other entrepreneurs or as a result of business plans, studies, and analyses.
In 2023, SionCorp International, LLC was awarded a special recognition by the United States Congress, standing out as one of the leading and most reliable Hispanic companies in its industry, with significant participation in social activities. This distinction reflects our commitment to excellence and the community, and it drives us to continue offering high-quality services in project management, construction, and real estate.
